  1. Story time (c) 1988
  2.  
  3. The blond swordsman treads cautiously forward.  Overhead, the dim eye
  4. of a blue sun glimmers with the faint light of a tired flame.  A bleak,
  5. blasted, cratered land its tedium interrupted only by the twisted skeletal
  6. remains of an occasional drengle tree, streches away from the swordsman
  7. on all sides.  A hot wind, choked with black dust, burns at his eyes and
  8. lips.  A sixth sense tingle causes the swordsman to draw his iron weapon
  9. free from its sheath.  His grey eyes narrow as they peer through the gloom
  10. in search of an enemy.  Unable to see anything to cause his discomfort he
  11. continues onward.  The forbidden castle of DR. J lies ahead, beyond the
  12. unseen horizon.  Worried he knows he must reach the castle by Moons Eve,
  13. 10 days hence, before the monthly sacrifice.  SHELA his warrior woman is
  14. being held there, captured by the BLACK MAGIC arts of DR. J while they
  15. fought his henchmen in the VALLY OF NO TOMORROWS.  HA MAN looks down at
  16. the grey streak that mars the once gleaming dragon plate armour on his
  17. chest, he still can't believe the power that DR.J controlled, if it
  18. wasn't for his fathers armor he too would now be held captive.  The
  19. stench brought by a sudden gust of wind jars HA MAN from his reverie, he
  20. turns, that smell can only mean...
  21.  
  22. Sage DR.J adds...
  23.  
  24. That his mighty charger "SHE HAWK" just took a shit.  That finished HA MAN
  25. and his steed continue toward the distant horizon in search of the castle
  26. of DR. J
  27.  
  28. Sage -{ Night Owl }- Adds...
  29.  
  30. Later that afternoon HA-MAN's sharp fighter ears hear a soft noise
  31. in the brush to the east of his trail, quietly he dismounts and
  32. enters the bush.  Peering ahead he sees in the revealed clearing...
  33.  
  34. Sage -{ MYSTIC FLIGHT }- Scribes...
  35.  
  36. a small, hairy creature, standing approximately two feet high.  Never
  37. seeing such a thing, HA MAN was at first startled, then took cover in
  38. the brush to watch it.  It seemed very confused, scampering from bush
  39. to bush, as if in search of something.  Ha Man then began advancing
  40. toward the creature, when suddenly,
  41.  
  42. Sage -{ DR.J }- Scribes...
  43.  
  44. The little creature pulled out a glowing ball, moving his little hand
  45. over the object he said "Ahh HA-MAN, you seek your loved one being
  46. held by the evil Dr.J. I might be able to help you in your quest".
  47. HA-MAN, Now knowing that this little creature must be Ogg, the wizard
  48. Asked " What will be your price for your services?.  Ogg then scratched
  49. his head and said.

  51. Sage -{ MYSTIC FLIGHT }- Scribes...
  52.  
  53. "My enemy for time as long as man has known, has been Neworg, the
  54. Evil.  For my help in regaining your loved one, I must have proof
  55. that Neworg is dead.  He has cast a spell on me, for which I have
  56. no antidote.  He has reduced me to this repulsive being that I now
  57. am.  If he is to see me again, I will no longer be.  Bring me his
  58. cape, which he never lets out of his sight.  That will be enough
  59. proof for me, and I will return to you and help set your loved one
  60. free."  With that, he scurried off into the dense brush.
  61. Perplexed as to what to do, Ha Man
  62.  
  63. Sage -{ NIGHT OWL }- Scribes...
  64.  
  65. returns to his steed.  With a grunt of effort Ha Man pulls the saddle
  66. bag from his mount and drops it to the ground.  Opening the sack he
  67. pulls out the 'Eye of Vonder'.  Will this Neworg be protected from
  68. the EYE as Dr. J is?  Quickly Ha Man makes the preparations...
  69. First he unrolls the blue sheet of silk and places it on the ground
  70. making sure the embroidered silver ankah points toward the afternoon
  71. sun.  Next he sets up the brazier within its pentagon, filling it
  72. with camomile, he lights it.   Next making sure that all of his body
  73. is within the pentagon Ha-Man holds the eye so that he looks through
  74. it into the sun.  The vision begins... Ha man sees himself riding
  75. north then north east, finally reaching what appears to be a small
  76. tower, inside the tower on the third tier Ha-Man knows Neworg can be
  77. found.   The vision fades...   Ha man now knows where Neworg is but
  78. can he afford the time needed for this task?  It will take a day and
  79. then he must defeat Neworg and return.  Leaving at best only 7 days
  80. to complete the journey to DR.J's castle.  Besides Ha-Man is not one
  81. to pick a fight with a powerful sorcerer if Ha has no quarrel with
  82. him.  On the other hand Ogg might be able to counter the powers of Dr.J
  83. and the enchanted EYE seems effective on Neworg, Hmmm...
